Aurora Lounge is operated by Epic North Tour Experiences Inc. This policy applies to bookings made directly with Aurora Lounge or Epic North.
Free cancellation
You may cancel your booking for a full refund when cancellation is received at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, and failure to attend the pickup, are non-refundable.
Cloud, snow and aurora conditions
Aurora Lounge operates even when it is cloudy or snowing. Weather around Whitehorse can change rapidly because of local microclimates, and nights that begin cloudy or snowy may clear as the evening cools.
Because the aurora is a natural phenomenon, its appearance cannot be guaranteed. Cloud, snow, an unfavourable forecast or the absence of visible aurora are not grounds for a refund after the 24-hour cancellation deadline.
We will not make a weather-based cancellation decision on a guest’s behalf. Guests may review weather forecasts and decide whether to cancel, provided the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
Cancellations made by Aurora Lounge
We reserve the right to cancel an evening when travel or operating conditions are considered unsafe, or because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If Aurora Lounge cancels your booking, you may choose an alternative available date or receive a full refund for the affected evening.
Multi-night bookings
Bookings of two or more nights may qualify for a 15% multi-night discount. If a cancellation reduces a discounted booking to only one night, the remaining night will be repriced at the regular single-night rate. The refund will be the amount originally paid minus the revised cost of the remaining booking.
For example, two nights at CAD $159 per night total CAD $318 before GST. After the 15% discount, the total is CAD $270.30 before GST. If one night is cancelled within the permitted cancellation period, the remaining night is repriced at CAD $159 and the refund is CAD $111.30 before applicable tax adjustments.
Rebooking after an unsuccessful viewing night
If the aurora is not visible during your evening, a discounted subsequent-night booking may be offered at the Aurora Lounge. Any such offer is subject to availability and does not entitle the guest to a refund for the original booking.
Refund processing
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Processing times vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Bookings made through another company
If you booked through a travel agent, online marketplace or other third party, you may need to request changes or cancellation through that company. Its cancellation and refund conditions may also apply.
